Marcia Harvey
Marcia Harvey, an African-American
author, is more well-known for her ex-wife, comedian and TV host Steve Harvey.
Marcia Harvey lives a private life, opting to avoid any media attention. Steve
had never achieved the same success as the one he is now, however they were
married 14 years. There have been rumors in Hollywood about the reasons for
their breakup. Some attribute it to Steve Harvey's cheating habits and others
to his choice of the path of a different kind, like comedy. The tragic story of
her life can be traced to reality that Steve left her and his two daughters
while she was expecting their third child. Despite her struggles she has
managed to make an excellent career in fashion design and also in writing. Her
works include "Marcia: Eyes To The Soul", "Marcia" and
"Marcia Poems From The Heart". Her children are influenced by her
generosity and kindness. Marcia Harvey was born to an African-American family.
They didn't have the richest of families. She started her career working at
Saks Fifth Avenue, a department store. Steve came across her at a reception for
a mutual friend a few years later. They were in love, and they were married in
1980. Steve was working as an insurance salesman at that moment and the couple
was blessed with twin girls in 1982. Steve was disillusioned with his work and
decided to become an entertainer, specifically stand-up comedy. Marcia and
Steve were in a lot of disagreements and later reports suggested that they were
beginning to separate. Marcia Harvey was famous for her divorce from Steve
Harvey and marriage. Although the facts leading to their divorce in 1994 are
mostly kept a secret but there is no doubt that Marcia was pregnant with their
third child when things completely fell apart. Marcia was finally able to file
for divorce in 1993. Marcia was forced to seek the law following her divorce
and Steve Harvey's rejection of payments for child support and alimony.
